Squid Game

I had no idea this was one here!  The show started very fucking strong with its first season. Great writing, powerful performances and incredible production design made it a cultural juggernaut and one of the best shows of its year.  And whilst many didn’t like the second season, I’m of the few that actually enjoyed it. Which is why it’s very disappointing and sad that the third and final season was bad. With some of the worst performances I’ve seen in recent years (the VIPs), to character assassination for most of the cast and the worst special effects abomination I’ve seen since CG baby in the last Twilight movie.  Many say that the critiques of this final season stem from being disappointed in a sad ending, but at least for me it’s not that at all. It’s the fact the it all felt rushed and poorly paced. On top of nothing changing at all. This two season story (because really S1 is its own) ended up being poorly paced and very conflicted on its themes. Can’t believe Netflix really put this out and let one of its biggest shows go down the drain like this. Author’s Note: I feel bad about my grading of the overall show. So here’s for each individual season: • Season One: 5/5 • Season Two: 3.5/5 • Season Three: 2/5> And yes, my 🩵 is for the first two seasons, not the third. Fuck the series finale.
