Adaptation.

As someone that wants create and but feels like they are not good enough for themselves, this struck very close to home. To be honest i felt like i was shaken out of my seat and given an emotional strike in the gut. Charlie Kaufman in the movie spends his life scared of the outside world and of rejection. He looks for an unattainable reason to live, is it love, to make art? While these things may fill our voids, it is only temporary and we eventually move on with our lives. Like Nicolas Cages portrayal of Charlie, I too have searched for a reason to go in with life. He seeks perfection when perfection is really the imperfections in the world. There is nothing really special about the flower its just a flower, it isn't god.  I have probably found one of my favorite films of all time and i cant wait to revisit it.
