The Witch

black philip is the goat (literally) on a serious note, The movie was interesting, it genuinely had me hooked from the start. It sadly isn’t my exact taste in movies, but I am not blind, nor am I deaf, so I can say that this being a good movie is simply a fact and not my opinion.  This being a debut movie is crazy. Anya Taylor-Joy did an amazing job. To be fair, the whole cast did. I was amazed by the children, especially Caleb. The baby scene made my skin crawl. It really does a good job at making you uncomfortable.  The ending is truly really, really good. Very satisfying in a way.  SPOILERS BELOW Each family member has their own flaws, yet they all choose to blame her. Getting falsely accused of being a witch throughout the  whole movie, proving them wrong, to then become that very thing in the end is such an original and powerful ending.  Thomason’s ending being finally becoming happy, through such a horrific thing taking place is so scary but so good.
