CRAZY mix of horror and romance. somehow i felt disgusted but moved by these cannibal’s love story😭 The cannibalism could be a metaphor for any number of things. it stood out as a metaphor for addiction to me but also like just general “not being able to run from one’s self” has a really wide view that has a lot of interpretations Cinematography is BEAUTIFUL it has that straight out of the 90s film look and the composition of vast empty plains of the rural united states further adds to the loneliness and  isolation the characters feel
