So let me get this straight, an anti capitalist surrealist camp movie, with fab fashions and keke palmer….. GAG IT!!! This was so fun and weird i love it 👏

Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. 😑 I really liked the film overall. The fact that they always find their way back to each other and keep trying, even after they mess everything up, is genuinely beautiful. I mean, their relationship literally started with a mistake. Obviously, there are different degrees of mistakes, but I love the idea that you shouldn’t give up on love so easily. (I don’t think Charlie ever truly wanted or desired Misha. I think, subconsciously, he wanted to even the score with Emma so they would both be “Bad” and could somehow go back to the way things were before.)

He is such a villain omfg, i was almost about to feel bad for him and then he said “whats so bad about loving me” he was still only thinking about himself!!! 🖕 (poor niki 😭)

This was such a good movie, people dont talk about it enough 👏👏. I love the dichotomy between the empathy one can feel for deeply closeted, ultra-masculine men who hurt the LGBTQ+ community in order to preserve the perception that they’re “straight,” and the reality that they often inflict so much violence and harm on queer people that, at a certain point, they’re no better than any other homophobe. It raises the question of whether that empathy is justified, or whether they’ve gone too far to deserve a great love story or acceptance from other LGBTQ+ people. I believe everyone deserves the possibility of redemption and happiness, but no one else can do that work for them. The shame they carry is often so overwhelming that the hope of living an open, happy life feels impossible, making them unwilling to take even the first step toward accountability.
