Cure
This movie is dark, and the atmosphere is something else. Kiyoshi Kurosawa, what a director, what a vision! While not a horror movie, it sometimes feels like a dark, creepy horror film. The cinematography is truly beautiful, and the soundtrack makes it even better. The color grading is also great. The cast, especially Koji Yakusho, delivers a remarkable performance, he perfectly suits this character. Masato Hagiwara is also something else. The movie is complex, and the ending is really weird. The combination of a great plot, cinematography, soundtrack, direction, and cast makes this a truly, truly, truly great movie. Its atmosphere is uniquely different, feeling both weird and beautiful
