The anger, hurt, I feel can’t be washed down with a coke or a colt 45. As I go through these comments on here, everyone has a quote they’re so drawn to. Shows how much beauty and art is in this documentary. An incredible piece of work.

Firstly, the score is generational. I had the pleasure in seeing this movie in a Titan Xc theatre and the audio quality was incredible. I’m not sure exactly which composer did the score but they did a fantastic job. Secondly, this film is obnoxiously beautiful, every shot is a painting. I really enjoyed the movie. I am very familiar with the book, read it before the film came out. The book of course seemed to fill in a lot of the gaps in the movie, I do wonder if it has the possibility of feeling rushed and disjointed for a viewer who hasn’t read the book. I mean I’m not sure how you exactly translate everything from an 500-600 page book into an 2hr30ish film without leaving stuff out or rushing through parts. Overall though, had a really good time, they did an incredible adapting the book. Was really happy with everyone’s performance and they made Rocky even funnier and more charismatic than what I imagined him to be like in the book.

Portland Represent! (Thanks Owen) This movie is incredible. I’ll be honest, I was honestly thinking about quitting. I thought I was SOO smart, i thought that Dennis was Rocky’s killer (he was but i thought he hit him) and there was no point im just gonna watch him lying all movie to Roman. However, once that title card came in i was drawn back in. Although technically I was right, this film did it in a manner that made everything much more intriguing. Dylan O’Brian is an incredible actor and there truly isn’t enough complimentary adjectives in the English language that I can use to describe his performance in this. Maybe I’m a bit overblown but still. Of course James Sweeney starring and directing, such an incredible performance all around. This film is also a technical masterpiece as well. For example the last scene with Dennis and Roman reuniting, we start outside with window as a barrier to the two men. Only to be let inside once Roman appreciates the gift of Dennis’ custom cover of the giving tree. Symbolizing the breaking of barriers between the two former friends. One of my favorite movies now, I just keep going back to “incredible.” Thats what it truly is
