Dirty Dancing

Has there ever been a better dancing movie than this!? Dirty Dancing directed by Emile Ardolino is SUCH a great movie! Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze have the chemistry of a directors dream (excusing their first couple of kisses.)  It’s the perfect slow burn movie full of passion—not only between two people for one another but also for the art of dance and for actions took in the name of helping a friend. Like several other ‘80s movies its got an amazing soundtrack and the costumes are phenomenal but what sets it apart from all the others is that it covers controversies (to the time) and holds a lot of emphasis in class differences whereas other eighties movies introduce that idea but don’t play into it entirely.  The love the main character has for her friends, her man, and her family is inspiring and her eagerness to learn all while keeping a positive playful perspective is encouraging.  I have no notes. Everything about this movie is amazing.
