•something I had astronomical expectations about because I read the book a week before I got letterboxd and it was first on my watchlist so going into it, it was a watch that was personal  •the book it was based on was fantastic but this series is a burger to the steak of the book, barely recognisable in most aspects •for a miniseries it had all the time to change and tweak to make it more of the book  •besides the negative, this was a brilliant miniseries of love,suspense, action and mystery and some of the acting was great •’the past is obdurate’ was THE phrase from the book and should’ve been used more •Loads of characters were changed to make the story more romantic like bill who was barely in the book and deke, who should’ve been there more •really wanted that final speech to Harry and the ticket man to have been longer, would’ve made the finale a lot more impactful
