Arrival

I love it when science fiction movies go beyond the genre, heighten it, and this movie very much did that. At first I was like oh cool alien film that felt loosely connected to the protagonists grief, but how I was wrong. It really ties itself together so perfectly without having to explain itself and prove its worthy to the audience. Portraying the power of language to bind as-well as a weapon to distinctly separate humans. But I don’t wanna spoil anymore because the film does some brilliant story telling by itself so go watch it.
