Wow. What a beautiful movie. I watched this film and Lost in Translation back to back and the similarities are interesting! Both explore the theme of loneliness and set in big neon cities. If it’s true about this being inspired by Coppola’s divorce then the ending is absolutely wonderful, sad yet breathtaking.
This film explores what makes us human and our desires and appreciating life in all its raw and complex emotions!! Phenomenally done! I love how realistic Theo’s character is. You don’t see many men in fiction that are as soft and sensitive as him yet still flawed and multifaceted. Really a great example of a well written male character.
