Tip Toe

This was one of the scariest pieces of media I’ve seen in a long time and not because it’s a horror film filled with jumpscares but because it’s reality. The shift in canal street along over the years is heartbreaking but to hear neighbours, family, random people you know say the most hatred things about your community and cover it with “but not you of course, just the trans” or “just gay men” “just the they/them/she/its”.  Sad to see this on channel 4 cause I know it won’t get true recognition but we know BBC is too pussy for anything remotely left wing. And for a show that is exploring reality for a lot of the LGBTQ+ there is no lesbian visibility. Shock horror. The scary truth is that they don’t even pretend to hate us anymore, it’s out in the open. Can’t blame it on lack of visibility anymore or that it’s new to them, they’re confused. It’s just pure hatred.
