i assume godard is doing this from an ironic standpoint but the way the women are treated in this movie is fucking abysmal 😭😭 looked down upon, treated as stupid, only exist as sexual objects, etc. but working under the assumption that this is purposefully crafted to develop a larger point, then i think it does a fantastic job at posing relationships against the rise of consumer capitalism. much to talk about with this one!
