i was sobbing the whole movie! i never really thought about my dad on my wedding day before. i’ve always just focused on me and my friends. now i get how dads feel when they have to let go of their daughters, and it made me want to build that relationship with my dad, especially since im his only daughter. also, the wedding in the movie was so beautiful—i’ve always dreamed of my perfect wedding. oh, nancy meyers, you never fail me. love this movie so much; it totally fits my personality and my aesthetic. (sometimes dad can be this embarrassing😅)

i’m crying. when hunter grabbed her waist and hugged jane, i felt that. the kind of hug that holds years of distance, confusion, longing—all wrapped up in a child just needing his mom. this film is so quiet but so loud in what it makes you feel. the phone booth scene wrecked me but it’s that ending that really got me. travis watching them from afar, choosing to walk away…like he finally gave them the chance to heal without him in the way. it’s devastating and beautiful.
