this movie is just a compilation of awesome goth/industrial songs followed by fifteen smash cuts, a horrible one-liner, one really cool shot, and brandon lee getting rained on

so we can all agree this is an kind of an anti-drug psa but all they did was make being a vampire look cool as hell so idk how that worked out

several moments where i can confidently say this is the best movie ever

the scene where cillian’s walking through a silent britain while that eerie, isolating guitar score slowly amps up is boyle going god mode. so many boyle signatures with the extreme close ups and odd angles with the added grit from the camera quality…the things you can do with a shitty camera and endless creativity. like in trainspotting, that glimmer of humanity and hope is crucial in a film filled with the grime and despair in the wake of the fall of man, particularly when it comes to our violent tendencies. will be thinking about this one for a while. the end is extremely fucking nigh!
