it’s weird to watch a movie from over ten years ago that feels so now. everywhere you look, there’s news articles and tiktoks about people falling in love with chatgpt, and it’s scary. i would catch myself giggling along as samantha and theodore talked, before remembering how actually concerning their relationship is. everything from the aesthetics to the actors was wonderful, and i’m so glad i actually sat down to watch this instead of keeping it on my never-ending watchlist.
