Candyman
a gothic, sleazy tragedy of the desperate search for a meaning, a mythos to contextualize and define the pain and suffering of the innocent. chicago high rises stack, walls plaster atop, constructed over ruins, while a labyrinthian catacomb adorned with graffiti, as scribes once wrote on walls, exposes historical truths that cannot be painted over (for the trauma is embedded in the walls, seeping into the community consiousness). the mythos of candyman, is a communal, desperate, pleading lie that only the inhuman could be so inhumane.
