Superman
Fuck it this is a 5 star movie to me. I used to always watch this growing up because my mom had a crush on Christopher Reeve (rightfully so). This is the blueprint for all comic book movies but nothing will ever come close. It’s funny, hopeful, and grounded in reality.
Christopher Reeve IS Superman. The way he clearly differentiates from Superman and Clark Kent is incredible. His chemistry with Margot Kidder is unmatched and I found myself smiling ear to ear when they were on the balcony together.
DC > MARVEL any day and this proves why.
