those dream sequences feel impressively like dreams, the nonsensical structure and that odd claggy oppressive air with the colouring and tension? UGH feels awful i love it
i also really enjoyed the subversions? i suppose youd call it. i expected to root for the teacher, but found myself cheering for a hoard of screaming children instead. which, by the way, struck a good balance between hilarity and real terror that resulted in a bittersweet ending that left me feeling relieved and satisfied and pleasantly unnerved
i was hoping for horror with as good an ending you can get and i am insanely impressed that i actually got that out of this pick, with great visuals, awesome actors (alex's actor is insane that kid is built for drama), and a cool interpretation of witchcraft to top it off too?? definitely recommending this and to watch the credits, its brilliantly haunting
plus gladys is actually a style icon, i cant hate her too much shes gorg
