The Guilty

Rewatching it before Hollywood give us its version and it still holds up. Upon rewatching it I understand the double meaning of the title. Is it the mother, the father? Or is it referring to the police officer? This movie is brilliant in the way that you are glued to the screen just watching a man making some phone calls... Your move Jake Gyllenhaal. Also, while watching I realized that the late great Brittany Murphy would've been fantastic as the mother. Her experience as a voice actress mixed with the raspiness of her voice would've have been the perfect casting choice in my opinion. Also, also: why can't people just watch the original versions of things and just let it be?
