Stand by Me

Wow this movie is beautiful. I loved seeing the boys go on their adventure, and their wholesome connection. Vern is so funny, he reminds me of my cousin who I miss very much. My favorite part of this movie was Chris and Gordie’s relationship, it was so sweet I love how they were always there for each other. I especially really liked the part where they were sitting under the tree, their friendship is so pure. I’m a little envious of the friendship they had because I wish I had something like it too. During that scene I wanted to give Chris the biggest hug, that poor boy suffered so much. When he said “I just wish I could go someplace where nobody knows me.” It broke my heart, I relate to it so much. Even though I’m not a “bad kid” like he was made to be,  I feel like no one in this entire world understands me truly, and just like him I wish to start over somewhere new where no one knows me and I am not labeled as what people want.
