Rear Window

ok so this was my 2nd dive into Hitchcock’s world, and I was locked in from the start. After my last experience with his work (Vertigo), I've really come to appreciate how meticulous he is w/ details. Rear Window definitely lived up to that.
Like I said, the story had me already from the opening shots. It was promising. BUT I GOTTA BE HONEST, while the suspense built up really well, the ending didn't quite hit the peak I was hoping for. It was solid. Like it was GOOD, but it could've been better, yk??
What really got me tho, cos I was so hooked like I was also spying thru the window, making up my own theories, trying to piece everything together. AND those throwaway conversations abt marriages, gender roles, and even just the ‘love thy neighbor’ thing which feels like a lost concept now. Kinda wild to witness that from a classic, knowing it is still relevant now.
And yep, SONDER is emphasised in this movie. I enjoyed it! Mood has now improved. 😌💗
