There is now a photo of me and my family on Greg’s (and possibly Tommy’s) phone feeling special and chosen 😁

The positives: Beautiful people, beautiful cinematography, and beautiful scenery! I adore Sam Shepard The negatives: Bad plot and the most annoying characters I’ve ever encountered. Felt like something I'd be forced to watch in middle school social studies class. Appreciated the Ethel Cain of it all though

I think what I love about Rohmer so much is his uncanny ability to capture reality. The way he and Riviere write dialogue and choreograph conversations is so effortless and natural -- very akin to Linklater and Krizan with the Before Trilogy, who were no doubt heavily inspired by Rohmer and Riviere's work. Delphine reminds me so much of myself it's insane, possibly the most I've related to a character ever. Just fantastic!
