During my sophomore year in college, we had an assignment to edit a film into a trailer. We had a select group of movies to pick from an and from the visuals alone I picked this one. My mistake was not actually watching the movie all the way through. Instead I started with the monologue and built off that, jumping around the entire movie until I had a solid trailer. When I turned it in my professor asked me “why did my trailer make the movie seem like a comedy?”. I pulled something out of my ass like “I wanted to show that you can use trailers to trick the audience”. Only A I ever got in school
