Better on rewatch but the abrupt ending still pisses me the hell off. Like bruh where is the second half???

It's interesting... that's about it. 🫤 When I first saw the trailer for this I was certain that it was going to be in the Best Picture race alongside Dune Part Three, Project Hail Mary and The Odyssey. I mean when you have Spielberg returning to his sci-fi roots, I think you can expect a great movie. ..sadly this was not the movie I had hoped for but I still liked a handful of it. Josh O'Connor and Emily Blunt are brilliant, I really loved the hiding from the government aspect (even if the government are stupid as hell in this) and the last 20 minutes are really exciting. My issue with this is how disjointed it feels, I feel like the first draft of this script would've been awful with how many random aspects and plot convinces there are. They're presented fairly well in the final film but if you take a moment to think, you really start to ask a lot of questions. Also the visual effects are ASS. Also if you want my mum's score, she said she'd give it a 3/10.. a bit harsh but I understand. This was a little bit disappointing if still enjoyable to me. I wouldn't call it good but like I said, it's at the very least interesting.. but only 2 minutes of aliens??? come on man.

sorry nolan, the twist was good but I can't say I loved much else :( a respectable debut but im probably never watching this again
