There is a lot that you can take and criticize in regards to this movie but to me I will forever respect that it is pure masterpiece. It’s about sexual assault, the mistreatment of women in institutions, and how they dream of escape, coping by disassociating themselves from their terrible environment. Just because those topics are not portrayed how you wanted doesn’t make this a bad movie. If you can’t get that then you need to re-watch this beautiful movie. It hurts me that you guys misunderstood the point of this movie and dumbed it down to “male gaze” and “cringy”. Arguably this movie got the Jennifer’s Body treatment where it was marketed to the wrong audience.Even so, so what if women want to dream about beating up men in revealing costumes? That’s cunty!
