I honestly don’t know how to feel about this movie. I would’ve liked the concept of it, if it wasn’t so overdone by almost every other sci-fi movie about the world ending. As my ratings show, I normally love stupid movies but I just couldn’t get into this. Also what the hell was that ending? It just felt unsatisfactory and underwhelming. I would not watch this again and not because it’s good, I just have better things to do with my life than engage with this crap again. Not even with a stacked cast was this movie salvageable. The only thing carrying this movie is Melanie Lynskey and that’s just out of my pure bias. I wouldn’t even recommend this to anyone to have as background noise, that’s how much I dislike this.

This movie was pretty funny but I don’t think a lot of people understand that this is a political satire movie about both sides. It’s enjoyable if you understand that and go into it expecting it to be a comedy and not an actual take on the political climate of the time.

I like the characters and the story.
