Feels like the future version of Memento, as both seem to be playing with time. In Tenet, Nolan directly portrays the past and future through the introduction of the time-reversing machine, rather than through editing like in Memento. Both must have been a nightmare to edit.

Quite an interesting concept. Loftus said “Memory, like liberty, is a fragile thing.” Leonard is like a man constantly stepping on thin ice, only carrying with himself his instinct, and complete trust in his handwriting. I like the aesthetic of the Polaroids, I like the reverse chronological order and I like how that makes me feel as disoriented as Leonard. Despite being quite engaged in the film and finding the plot quite interesting, I found the ending somewhat dull. On the surface it’s a huge revelation and completely unexpected, but perhaps I’m slow, because what is the rationale behind why Leonard tries to frame Teddy, it’s kind of forced and going nowhere imo.

Few notes I had when watching: - why is everyone so intent on destroying Gotham? That city has more terrorist attacks than anywhere else. Also why would you want to live there, from what I know it seems virtually anywhere else would be safer. - that underground prison does not feel filled w despair to be honest, like it’s js a rock climbing competition and ppl cheering you on constantly. And has great natural lighting, you really can’t find a better prison. - Bane’s outfit is fire and makes Batman’s costume feel ridiculous. - I forgot the rest… Cilian Murphy is hot
