I completely eat my words from when this project was first announced because it turned out to be an absolute masterpiece. The timing of its release was unmatched: watching the episodes with the cold weather outside, wrapped up in blankets right around that time of the evening when it starts getting dark early... the mood was just immaculate. The storyline is incredibly tight and the cast absolutely nails it. A phenomenal prequel.

season and, honestly, the one where the most happens. My two cuties Eleven  and Max becoming best friends is officially peak television (Max is, without a doubt, the best character in the entire show). There are a couple of plot points that don't fully click for me, but they are super minor details. The only thing I really missed was a little bit more of Nancy and Jonathan  investigating together. It is perfect.

People who say season 2 is the worst clearly don't have a fully developed frontal lobe yet. I can understand if you found it the least "interesting" when you were younger, but growing up is realizing it is LITERALY THE BEST SEASON. I will die on this hill. Seeing Eleven as such a baby with her little curls does something to my soul. When you rewatch it for the 18th time, you realize that exactly what needs to happen happens for everything to click into place perfectly. Defending season 2 with my life because the hate it gets makes zero sense. Plus, the fact that it's set during autumn and Halloween adds a thousand points. literally my favorite things in the world.

Watching this is like time traveling back to when I was a literal 10-year-old baby. A new friend recommended it to me and I proceeded to make this show my single remaining brain cell. What an absolute obsession. I would go to ballet class and it looked like we were sponsored by Hawkins because everyone was wearing Stranger Things hoodies. My daily routine consisted of watching episodes, drawing the characters, and making TikToks about the show like my life depended on it. This was a historical cultural reset in my existence. It’s crazy how much of a baby they were, and honestly, me too.
