i’m just happy to see a kid off her ipad and going outside to cope with her parents divorce. An immersive look into a child’s world and it feels like you’re running around Kyoto and the lake town with her. The storytelling was poetic and the long takes make you think back to when you were also a kid, wide-eyed, slowly observing the world around you. It’s nice to see childhood captured so beautifully.
