Marrowbone
I'M BOUTA START CRYING YALL, I CANTTTT. Yo this shit is hella sad, I can't with that ending, I'm indecisive if I like it or not. Anya Taylor-Joy, can you fix me next cause I just got trauma from this movie. The casting is absolute perfection, George MacKay, Mia Goth, Charlie Heaton and Anya Taylor-Joy, YESSS. The goddamn plot-twist hit my fucking soul like it never has before, lord have mercy. HOW TF IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS FILM, IT'S SO UNDERRATED AND HEARTBREAKING LIKE WTFF. I love the transitions between the two time periods in the end, it was so well-done. In the beginning, I thought it was nice, charming film. In the middle, I was scared shitless. In the end, I started balling my eyes out. Literally a rollercoaster of emotions. Loved the camera work and the dialogue. The acting was phenomenal. The only things I didn't like was more so preference-wise with how I didn't like films that mostly take place in the same setting or little to no bonding times within the characters. Though the audience is able to feel connection within the Marrowbone kids during their situations as they state that they should always stick together. Keeping a racoon in your house is disgusting asf, but I guess if your just that lonely. This is probably the best drama horror film I have ever seen. I watched this like 6 years ago but couldn't remember shit, though I knew I didn't like it before because I didn't fully understood it, so I decided to give it another try 6 years later and I'm in love with it. Marrowbone is a dramatic, powerful, suspenseful film that I'll pay for everyone's therapy sessions after watching it.
