Sing Sing
92/100
What a beautifully simple story. The atmosphere that the film creates is weighed down by regret, anger, and confusion, but the theater acts as a beam of hope and purpose. Sing Sing compels you to appreciate even the smallest of tasks and the faintest of memories.
I was initially disappointed by the fact that we never saw the performance, but the fact that they added real footage (and that the actors were playing themselves) was even more gratifying. The soundtrack and the graininess/warmth of the camera were also fantastic.
