Satantango

Before I start, I’m not going to watch a seven hour fucking movie not to give it 5 stars. All jokes aside this is one of the best movies I’ve seen. I love slow movies and this movie, not because it’s long but because of the wonderful director Bela tarr, does slow camera movement and longer scenes better than any other film. The constant hope of a ”messiah” or someone to change the eternal misery of villagers that live in total freedom but no puspose couldn’t be more horrifying. They give everything for what? Hope? I don’t blame them. To live in a society where every little glimpse of future is gone and all you live by is just infinite loops and endless hope, its now that crazy to give up everything for the slightest chance of happiness or a possible better future. Satantango is not subjectively but objectively one of the best movies ever created. 10/10
