*Interstellar* x *Flubber* This was a very charming movie! The comedic everything of this grated with my sci-fi drama masterpiece expectations, but that might be my fault more than the quality of this. I do think this is more generic and counterfeit of the greats that came before it, rather than being a trailblazer for future versions of this. A lot of scenes and explanations are ripped from other sci-fi greats, but it was sweet and wholesome (albeit predictable and lacking any real stakes). Not mad at all - I’m disappointed because it wasn’t *Interstellar*, but will anything ever be *Interstellar*?

💙 > **When you love something more than yourself, you can’t bear to lose it…**I’ll obviously relate to this movie more than others, being in ministry myself. Emotional clairvoyance can only be attained through deep relationship with God, but we look for it in (and project it onto) so many other things. I think where this movie succeeds and adds to something like [***Silence***](https://boxd.it/2cAo)****** is that it isn’t assuming - it’s bare, open armed, and yelling at you “I’m not good enough, help me”. Everyone in this movie, except *Mary*, is guilty of loving something more than God or themselves. If you loved yourself enough, you would realize your lack can only be fulfilled by God and what he provides: everything needed to sustain and make better this despair that is our world.

Not a ton of substance, but very effective in being anxious through the end Pretty disappointing tbh

Good stuff
