The best horror movie I've seen in quite some time. Incredible effects for the body horror. Fantastic casting and most importantly a very well thought out social commentary

There's a reason this movie is a classic.

Everyone loves this. I can see why

Holy hell. The first 15 minutes really draws you in with the premise of a student-documentary about alzheimers (one of the worst fates that can befall someone imo.) After that first 15 minutes, it is non stop creepy and/or unnerving. Hats off to Jill Larson, Deborah's actor, for one of the best performances I've seen in a number of years from a found footage movie. She plays the role of a diseased old woman with a dark past in such a manner that you do have to feel quite some empathy for her. Anne Ramsay and Michelle Ang both play their roles incredibly well however, Ang's character, Mia, does - at some points - come across as naïve, especially when she is presented with clear evidence of the secret horrors that Deborah is a victim of. Now, the movie isn't exactly perfect, the last 15 - 20 minutes feel quite rushed although, the snake jaw scene is one of the best in horror. For me, the worst part of the movie is the inclusion of that final shot of the child, Cara, doing that unnerving smile. It completely shatters the vibe and feels like it is unnecessarily opening the movie up to a sequel that, to my knowledge, doesn't exist.
