Little Fish
“I was so sad the day I met you. I can’t remember why. I just know that after I saw you I wasn’t sad anymore.”
It's a phrase that's stuck in my head. Memories are all that is left after a person when they leave, when they leave and the feelings they have for them. You do everything you can to fight for those memories, but sometimes it's just not enough and you can't stop what is inevitable. It is inevitable and the notion that sooner or later all memories will be erased, all happy moments and what you built together. All unrealized dreams and future plans will be forgotten.
Your life will be forgotten.
This movie left something inside my heart, something that touched me. There was a moment at the end of the movie where Emma was sitting on the beach and after she realized that she had lost the love of her life, that he had completely forgotten her, her look and smile. She just stopped fighting for her memories too, because all her memories were connected with him, his hair, his smell and his strange smile in the morning, she just realized that everything was hopeless, all efforts didn't matter if the one you loved the most forgot you. So she decided to forget everything too.
If she doesn't have him in her life, the memories with him won't matter to her as much and it will hurt too much to know that somewhere out there the person you wanted to have everything with in the future, who you love, has forgotten you completely through no fault of their own.
But fate brought them back together again, that what was stronger for the memory, feelings that still remembered their bodies. Something brought them together again, something that stronger than memories, time and experience.
LOVE.
Love what can through time, space and broken minds. The ending was amazing. I think you need to rewatch this movie again just to understand that the ending it’s not just ending, it’s something always about beginning.
