Oh boy
I knew this one was gonna be hard. This has probably been the one movie I’ve wanted to watch for the past 2 years but I was just as equally dreading to start watching.
This filled me with a similar melancholy I had at the end of Florida project. Just that extremely pertrusive sadness, hitting square in the jaw like a ton of bricks. I don’t think I’ve seen another movie that managed to say so much with so little.
Similar to when I watched minari, I think this helped me better understand my father, even if we didn’t really go through a similar experience.
I think I just wanna cry and listen to “my old man” by Mac Demarco
