I watched this with Ms. Giggleshits and Mr. Cackledooker and I genuinely couldn't stop giggling  I'm mildly confused on what happened like I'm aware but also I'm not? I thought the aliens were silly and the twinism of Margret and Daniel was cute I think?  The camera would pause on people for a few seconds and they'd just be mogging the entire time specifically Margret which I thought was funny Maybe its because we missed the first like 20 minutes but I didn't understand or liked it💔 We were supposed to see backrooms btw

One of the first reviews I've heard about this movie was when I ran into three of my old classmates from middle school. They said that the movie was terrible and they should've seen backrooms instead. Obviously now I understand now that those guys didn't understand the message behind the movie. The actress who plays Nikki is absolutely phenomenal because she was able to make you unsettled and uncomfortable even while being in the spotlight and center of the screen. Another thing I heavily enjoyed was the minor details that indicate that Bear doesn't like Nikki, just for her looks. While this is an obvious detail you can point out a mile away, it really brings attention to how Bear didn't have to go through any of this if he just faced rejection or asked himself why he even liked her. Or even waited and got to know her better, he had so much time. I also liked how her story during thr party spoke on Hansel & Gretal but in an incest form. This might be a stretch but to me it calls back to how Nikki actually sees Bear as a little brother rather than a romantic companion I feel terrible for Nikki as these people she views as friends, don't even bother assisting her especially when they repeat over and over that she needed help. Because she did. She mirrors a lot of bears habits which i also like because it seems as if she's trying to be human The line, "whats so bad about being with me?" like are we kidding? His immediate reaction to everything is either dismiss or lie and while he doesn't necessarily blame Nikki, he doesn't take accountability for his actions either. He's an insecure coward who wanted a shortcut. Another detail i like is the crystal necklace and dad detail. If he cared, he would've gotten her a crystal necklace (like he intended) but instead got her the one wish willow. I also like the detail of him not paying attention to her relationship with her father. I also really loved how claustrophobic the filming made it. It makes you uncomfortable and in a way makes you feel like you're in the scene as well.
