Sentimental Value
"i know you think you're incapable of caring, but you were there for me"
this was the most sentimental and personal movie about family i've ever watched. it's heavy on how sometimes it's difficult to communicate within a family even if they're the closest people in our life. how childhood trauma can bring different effects on children. and it's also about forgiveness and how do we cope with the trauma. personally, it hurts so much when her father knows and understands her so well. and those dialogue by the end of the movie always hits me with the best devastating and honest lines i've ever heard. i love this so much, i couldn't describe how genuine it is
