Tampopo

Every film should start with one or two people teaming up with someone to succeed in a common goal. The film should then continue with more and more people joining to finally create a team working together to succeed in their goal. It's the greatest premise ever and this is one of the greatest examples of it.  Hilarious and beautiful story about the joys of food. I am now very hungry for some ramen.   The vignettes in this film are also incredible and very funny. Most of the time when a film does this I get irritated as breaks up the main plot but in this it definitely improves the movie. The opening sequence is incredible and really makes you feel like you’re in good hands from the very start. The other vignettes are hilarious as well and truly makes this movie unique. The egg yolk scene and the accompanying scenes will haunt me forever though, in a good way. I believe this is definitely Ken Watanabe's greatest film. Inception's got nothing on this.
