Hawkeye
Episode 1: Seeing The Battle of New York from a different perspective in the opening was a cool. Kate Bishop is a likable new character. Clint’s hearing loss is an interesting idea, but the PTSD angle is very overused. You can’t cast an actor like Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mom and expect me to believe she’s not playing some bigger secret villain role. 6/10
Episode 2: Kate and Clint are fun together. I think this show could really benefit from having a stronger identity. Besides the Christmas stuff, it kinda feels like it blends in too much with the rest of the MCU. 7/10
Episode 3: The Tracksuit Mafia is enjoyable, and the fight scene and car chase were great. I wish they had trusted that the audience to not care about reading subtitles so that Hawkeye was fully able to speak with Maya in sign language, I really hated hearing that goofy interpreters voice. 7/10
Episode 4: The apartment/rooftop fight was awesome. 7/10
Episode 5: Yelena’s cold open was fantastic. The Kingpin reveal should have happened much earlier in the season. Like we could have had fucking Kingpin this whole time?! 7/10
Episode 6: I’m glad no time is wasted on some big reveal about Kate’s mom working for Fisk, we all knew lol. Kate and Yelena have great banter. This episode makes Fisk look like an idiot. I really wish we got more Tony Dalton. This season didn’t have nearly enough build up for a satisfying conclusion, it was way too short. The rest of the season is diminished by how forgettable the ending makes it. 5/10
