It’s like watching the chase on a Sunday ay your nans surrounded by your extended family after (or before) a Sunday roast when you were a child that needed a wee but wanted to wait until the ads and every member of your family is so opposing in character to the next.

I don’t care if this take is solidly freezing cold - it should be to be honest. But, Emma Stone is the greatest actress of the 21st Century. Jazz is romance I guess

Some of the footage just didn't even link to what those people were yapping about and that’s where the worshipping of archival footage can be neglected because it seriously doesn't have the effect Netflix thinks it has. PLUS, the trial was so rushed in the end - manrico is guilty? For what? Being a yes man? I don’t know? That really interests me but I have no idea. AND THE COURT CASE? It was held in a theatre so must have been a spectacle that can have complexities that would have been great to explore. Especially because a powerful man actually did go to jail. Furthermore, if I were to say that this film holds Costa accountable - I would be lying. You can't just have a cheeky black screened message at the end saying the courts didn't really investigate them so that we feel shock and anger for the victims; and then not investigate the corporation yourself whatsoever. It was a good way to spend my time I guess, but that’s because I find cruise ships and their problems so fascinating in the least sadistic way possible.
