Pria
I really love this movie. Literally pictures how close-minded Indonesian people are towards the Queer community. Imagine the mother considering her son was cursed (that's why the mother tries to 'cure' her son by feeding him red rice) and forcing him to marry the girl. In the end, it's a lost on all ends. Aris will forever live with a woman who knows he's gay, the girl will have to live with a man who wasn't interested in her, Peter has to lost the love of his life, and the mother will forever has a gay son. To me, this is the most honest way of picturing how minority group like Queer was very discriminated in Indonesia.
