we’re here to become human again.
jesus christ everyone needs to watch this. beautifully tender, poignant, inspiring, vulnerable, all the things. i loved that scene in their circle when they shared their “perfect moments.” subconsciously i started to think about my own. last march, at the beach at 1am. it was a full moon and clear night, i remember, and that silver light fell over the water. and it glistened, so enchanting, like a mirror to the stars. and i remember listening to the ocean, how its softness filled the silence. a cigarette passed between hands and the smoke would float past the moon as a false cloud. the sand was cool between my toes. and my feet were so cold, but for once it didn’t bother me. it let me clear my head, and begin to write again. i fall into ruts too quickly. i’m reminding myself of what it is i have love for in the first place. somewhere along the way that desire to create, to make, feel, DO something, got lost. what a gift it is to be in service of art, to be a little detail in the bigger picture. tapping into that, sharing your voice, is thrilling.
