Nothing will ever beat the godfather in my eyes in terms of storytelling and enjoyment, watched this along aside reading the novel and it felt just right. The chronological order doesn’t ruin the experience at all if anything it makes it better. Although I miss the flashback scenes in the original part 2 that show the parallels in Vito and Michael and their differences, I appreciate this order as it aligns closer to the novel due to it feeling as if it’s more focused on their similarities than differences. Also the only point when they go back in time being at the end in with the dinner scene is magnificent. > Lowkey feel like Michael in Sicily as I sit on my balcony in Afghanistan reading the Godfather
