Super 8

i watched this because everyone said it was stranger things core and yes it def was. i love things set in the 80s, and this movie did a great job with the whole 80s vibe. all the kids had a decent dynamic together. charles and that taller guy were funny. joe was a pretty good main character. alice was cute as well. i really really liked the first half of this movie. i kinda started to get bored when they broke into the trailer. i didnt really understand the alien monsters backstory. but wow there are quite a few similarities to stranger things! the alien looked a lot like the mindflayer. and the lights flickering, and psychic connection part. i liked it but i wasnt very satisfied with the end. overall tho it was a really good movie! that one stoner was also really funny. donnie?? fav part: the first part of the movie. when they were filming their movie. worst part: uhh maybe when the whole battle was happening would i recommend: yes!
