*“You know, I see a lot of people walkin’ ‘round, with tombstones in their eyes”*

Prime: *“What are we having, a party or something?”* Had a good time with this one. First of all, the soundtrack is amazing and fits the movie perfectly (I really loved the scene towards the beginning at the party with the strobe lights playing *The Demon Dance*). While the dialogue is minimal, it is still effective in driving the story. The small role Keanu Reeves has in the film is great, and Elle Fanning is perfect as the lead. The cinematography is also outstanding and mesmerizing throughout the entire film, in a very dream like/trippy way. The last 30 minutes are absolutely crazy, and I really like the direction they went in with the ending. Looking forward to seeing NWR’s latest film *Her Private Hell *later this week in theaters.

HBO Max: The last act of this film really hones in on what makes an Evil Dead movie an Evil dead movie. While this movie did have a slow buildup to the climax, there were some moments throughout to keep you engaged until all the action goes down. Other than that, it is a pretty run of the mill build-up. Still had a good time.

AMC Laser Theater: I respect the decision to go all out on basically having no dialogue at all in the film, but unfortunately that does not work in this film’s favor. Characters just kind of stare at each other or if there is a conversation you don’t hear a word from it, and it leaves the characters uninteresting and forgettable. The elevator scene towards the end was a highlight, but that’s a very short scene in an otherwise pretty slow movie. I wanted to like this one, but just couldn’t get into it.
