The Egg
we sold out a movie theatre.
We actually oversold it.
We sold out of merch, we had too many questions at the QnA to answer them all. I don’t remember the last time Sayville Movie Theatre had that many people.
I hope my sobbing in the back wasn’t too loud
Every single person was there to watch The Egg, and had their own individual experience. I think my favorite part even above all of the love and compliments on the show, is the people that came up and said this inspired them to do more. All my creative friends and family, and plenty of people I’ve never met, wanted to immediately do more after seeing this and I genuinely feel like that’s the best outcome we could’ve asked for.
I am so so so lucky to have friends to do this with. It is so incredibly rare to have best friends who see the world so similarly, and have the same seemingly unattainable dreams, this premiere set a precedent that none of our dreams are unattainable.
I cannot thank EVERYONE who donated their time to this show enough. This is definitely collectively the hardest thing we’ve ever done, an amount of work that would push most people away from ever following through. However, In the words of Cobie Jane, “Some eggs are unbreakable”
