well now i *GOTTA* read the book. amaze amaze amaze.

character design + animation style + music score + plot twist + communism = wowowowow.

hearing my aunty’s reaction to this entire movie was truly the highlight of my experience

so many thoughts: 1. how the HELL did anna sleep at night with the weight of those lies?! 2. lowkey, anna and lorenzo had chemistry…lowkey wanna see a version where anna falls in love with a taxi driver…hm…maybe michael should’ve been a quirky taxi driver, i would’ve liked that actually. 3. isabella!!! leave that man!!! mateo’s not gna change any time soon!!! 4. tht family took anna’s lie a little too lightly. the entire movie i was like “this woman is *crazy*,” but i persisted for halle bailey 5. was NOT expecting *let me love you*, but i lived for it. 6. i enjoyed the movie. there was only 8 ppl in the movie theater, including me and my cousins. we were cackling the entire time. like, i KNOW the old yt couple in front hated us (those mfers weren’t making *any* noise, and we were happily reacting to the story on screen. they can suck it.)
