SLC Punk

i fucking love this film. it's not just a silly punk film following a group of guys who only like to party and fight, it sure looks like it at the beginning, but as it goes it explores so many topics that aren't just relevent in the punk scene but in the society as whole. the question of identity and individuality, social beliefs, meaning of life... everything that stevo is going through in this film, every question that he wonders about and doesn't have the answer to just hits so close to home. also, it doesn't hurt that it has an amazing cast, especially Matthew Lillard who honestly deserved an oscar for his performance
